4th of July

Probably one of my favorite holidays, July 4th. I love parades, I love big family BBQs, I love fireworks, I love being festive, and you get to do all that in one day! As a kid July 4th was just as exciting a Christmas. I was hardly able to sleep the night before because I was so excited about the festivities. My family has been going to the big parade in Provo just about every year since before I can remember. I loved being there with my 2 boys this year and watching them love it like I did as a kid.

Things That Make Me Laugh

When I asked Nicholas what he learned about in church, and he said "Jesus, and raise your hand like everyone else."

I caught Christian playing with my sewing machine and when I went to pull him away from it, he flung himself across it and screamed "No! MY toot toot!".

When Christian climbs into the car on a hot day and says "Hot!" and then starts blowing to cool it off.

Hearing Sam use the words "Teeth yuckies" seriously. That is what I call the the gross stuff that comes out when you floss.

"Look at that building made out of rocks!" -Nicholas, when driving through a canyon in Utah, his first time seeing a mountain up close.

"Mommy, I think my snots are getting all melty" -Nicholas

"Thunder and lightning can't go in the bathroom because they don't have any bums."-Nicholas

"DADA!"-Christian, while watching the wizard of oz and pointing to the scarecrow who is singing about not having a brain.

"Mommy! You have Nicholas eyes!"-Nicholas, when he looked close and saw his reflection in my eyes.
